Introduction: A Decade of Yoga Practice
As I reflect on my ten-year journey with Yoga, I am filled with immense gratitude for the transformative power it has had on my life. From a dedicated practitioner to a passionate teacher, Yoga has been more than just a physical practice for me; it has been a path of self-discovery, inner peace and connection. On this International Yoga Day, I want to share my thoughts on the significance of Yoga, the importance of gratitude and the beauty of integrating love-kindness meditation into our practice. Especially as love and kindness is a concept missing from our World.
Finding the Path: My Yoga Journey
I still remember my first Yoga classes, the feeling of stepping onto the mat, and the sense of unfamiliarity mixed with curiosity. Over the years, Yoga became a sanctuary, a space where I could reconnect with myself amidst the chaos of life. Each pose, each breath, became a step towards understanding and exploring my body, mind and spirit. Yoga taught me patience resilience, non-comparison and the importance of being present.

Gratitude for the Practice
Yoga is more than a series of postures; it is a journey inward. This journey has helped me cultivate a deep sense of gratitude. Gratitude for my body, which carries me through each practice. Gratitude for my mind, which learns and grows with every experience. Gratitude for my spirit, which finds solace and strength in moments of stillness.
On this International Yoga Day, I invite you to take a moment to express gratitude for your own Yoga journey. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or just starting, acknowledge the effort, dedication and love you have invested in your practice. Celebrate the progress, no matter how small, and be kind to yourself for the challenges you have overcome.

To celebrate and appreciate the International Day of Yoga, I have created a short and beginner-friendly Metta Bhavana meditation practice. This 10-minute session is designed to be accessible to everyone, making it perfect for beginners or anyone seeking a quick and effective mindfulness practice. By dedicating a few minutes to this meditation, you can experience a profound shift in your emotional state and outlook on life.
